The fastest way to determine an existing High Voltage Fuse is through the fuse
Catalog Number found on the nameplate.
If nameplate data is faded or unavailable (older nameplates are notorious for having time worn nameplate data), the
Manufacturer’s Name,
Type (Ex. SM5, CLE, SMU),
Voltage Rating and
Ampere Rating of the existing High Voltage Fuse would be key factors in determining a suitable High Voltage Fuse replacement.
